Honouring a Legacy – Introducing the Jayne Harrison Apprentice of the Year Award

At Had-Fab, we believe in building more than just steel structures. We believe in building futures.

That’s why we’re proud to introduce the Jayne Harrison Apprentice of the Year Award — a new annual recognition established in memory of our late co-founder, Jayne Harrison.

Jayne was a driving force behind Had-Fab’s growth and culture. She was also a passionate advocate for apprenticeships and the power of hands-on learning. She believed deeply that the route to success doesn’t have to follow a single path. For her, university was never the only answer — instead, she also championed those who chose to learn through experience, hard work, and genuine skill.

This annual award will be presented to one Had-Fab apprentice who demonstrates exceptional commitment, personal growth, team spirit, and passion for their trade. In addition to a commemorative trophy, the recipient will receive a financial grant to support their continued development — whether through further training, tools, or learning opportunities.

Jayne believed that success is earned through dedication, care, and a willingness to keep learning throughout life. This award reflects those values and serves as an ongoing reminder of her legacy — one rooted in opportunity, encouragement, and a belief in people’s potential.

We look forward to celebrating our apprentices — past, present, and future — and recognising the talent that keeps Had-Fab moving forward.
