QHSE Manager Highly Commended at IOSH Scotland Health and Safety Awards
Had Fab is delighted to announce that our QHSE Manager, Aishling Burke has been ‘Highly Commended’ at the IOSH Scotland Health and Safety Awards after being nominated by her mentee and team mate, Martyn Gribben.
Martyn – who joined Had Fab in November last year as Junior QHSE Advisor and who has been mentored by Aishling throughout this time – placed the nomination with IOSH Scotland in recogonition of Aishling’s time, knowledge, expertise and wisdom supporting and developing him as an OSH professional.
Speaking about his nomination of Aishling, Martyn said: “As Aishling’s mentee and Junior Advisor, she has gifted me with the knowledge and inspiriation I need to get off to an exciting start in my OSH career. She spares no expense in her approach to mentoring with her patience, understanding and commitment to ensuring she is delivering the highest standard of OSH teachings while empowering me to make my own decisions.”
The IOSH Scotland Mentor Award recognises those IOSH professionals who are actively involved in mentoring other OSH professionals in their career development and acknowledges those who go above and beyond to support and nurture their colleagues.
Speaking about her ‘Highly Commended’ award, Aishling said: “I am obviously delighted to receive this recognition but, most importantly for me, I’m thrilled that I’ve been able to work and mentor Martyn, supporting him in his development as an OSH professional.
“Making time to mentor and provide peer support is very important to me and I’m delighted not only that Martyn nominated me, but also that Had Fab provides an environment where mentoring is nurtured and encouraged. I am very proud of this commendation and also for its recognition of the individuals and companies who place such value on the importance of mentoring others.”
