At Had Fab, we believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back. This year, we’re excited to announce our 2024 exercise and fundraising campaign, dedicated to supporting Simpson Special Care Babies charity. Throughout July, we’ll be engaging in mini exercise challenges each week and encouraging everyone to take up running. The highlight of our campaign will be a team 5k run at the end of the month, aiming to raise vital funds for this incredible cause.
Why Simpson Special Care Babies?
Simpson Special Care Babies is a volunteer-run charity based in Edinburgh, committed to ensuring that babies admitted to the Simpson Neonatal Unit receive the best possible care. The charity also supports the families of these babies, providing much-needed resources and comfort during challenging times. By participating in our campaign, our team is not just joining a run; they’re contributing to the well-being of some of the most vulnerable members of our community and their families.
Our July Activities
Mini Exercise Challenges: Each week in July, our team will be taking on various mini exercise challenges. From brisk walks and short runs to group workouts, we’re fostering a spirit of fitness and camaraderie.
Team 5k Run: To culminate our efforts, we’ll be completing a team 5k run in the local area. This event is open to everyone whether a seasoned runner or someone just starting out.
Getting Involved
Weekly Challenges: For those participating in our weekly mini exercise challenges, we’re encouraging them to share their progress and spread the word on social media using the hashtag #HadFabFitness.
Running 5K: Our team will run a 5k at the end of July, proving a fantastic way to get active, connect with others, and make a difference.
Taking on a Bigger Challenge: For members of our team who are already fit and find a 5k too easy, we’re asking them to consider participating in the Scottish Half Marathon taking place in Tranent in August. This is a great opportunity to push the limits while supporting a meaningful cause.
